Join Scott Stimpson and I this Fall in the quaint coastal town of Yachats, Oregon where we’ll nestle up in a large cottage by the sea for a three day retreat.
We wanted this first gathering to be intimate, informative and full of adventure. We’ve made plans to guide you through three incredible hikes where the forest meets the sea. We will make our way along the beach and soak up the salty sea air. We’ll climb through the woods and picnic along the trail. We’ll beach comb and catch the sunset and unwind with some gentle yoga and fireside tea. And of course, we’ll nourish ourselves with seasonal, locally grown and foraged foods prepared by our own personal chef. All food provided will be vegetarian with vegan and gluten free options. (please let us know if you have other dietary restrictions).
Accommodation We will be staying in a private cottage that houses 12 people comfortably at the Overleaf Lodge and Spa in Yachats, Oregon.
Day one: Sunday, October 20th
Check in with Karina for your accommodations and settle in for a beautiful evening starting with optional, gentle yoga lead by instructor Meaghan Gannett at 6pm. Afterward, enjoy a cozy dinner of wild foraged herbs, mushrooms and seasonal surprises prepared by native Oregon Coast chef, Boone Ogden of Mandala Catering. Relax into the rest of the evening with fireside tea and soft music before you drift off to sleep.
Day two: Monday, October 21st
We’ll begin early with optional, gentle yoga at 6am, homemaid chai and delicious breafast at 7am before we pack up and head out for a big day of hiking at 9am. We’ll drive to nearby pre-selected locations for two seperate hikes and enjoy a healthy picnic lunch break along the trail. Then we’ll head back to the cottage for free time to walk the beach or just relax before dinner. We’ll add our foraged treasures to the evenings meal where Boone will use share and guide us through his culinary techniques for pulling the best flavor from the ingredients provided. Fireside tea and soft music will be availabe to round out the evening.
Day three: Tuesday, October 22nd
Our healthy and hearty morning breakfast begins at 7am and we can take our time to pack up and head out at 10am for another guided foray into the forest. We’ll spend a few hours discovering this new trail before we turn you loose to explore Yachats for the remainder of the afternoon. We have a few suggestions for delicious lunch spots we encourage you to enjoy before you return home.
